The lamp sits inside the chamber and points at the brush heads, not out into the room, and it runs while the brushes are in place. As with any UV-C device, do not stare into the chamber while a cycle is running or hold the opening against your skin. Keep it out of reach of small children.
No. PureBeam is about where your brush lives between uses — up off the counter, drying, with a UV-C cycle running. It is not a substitute for brushing properly, and you should still replace your brush head on the schedule your dentist recommends.
It grips clean, flat, dry surfaces — tile, glass, mirror and sealed painted walls — and holds the unit plus two brushes comfortably. Wipe the spot down and let it dry before mounting, then leave it an hour before hanging anything on it.
It is not designed for textured, porous or freshly painted surfaces. Removed carefully it lifts off without taking paint with it, but on wallpaper or chalky paint, test somewhere hidden first.
It charges over USB-C with any standard cable and runs for a long stretch of normal daily use between charges. The display shows the remaining percentage, so it does not run flat without warning. Give it a full charge before first use.
